Scope
This policy describes the Modern Dosing website. It does not cover the external publications, providers or social platforms we link to. Their own policies apply when you visit them.
Information from browsing
This site serves static pages. Its search script filters text already loaded in your browser; it does not send your search terms to a search service. The site does not use advertising pixels or account sign-in. When optional Google Analytics 4 is configured on the production site, it remains off until you choose Allow analytics. Declining leaves analytics off. Your preference is stored locally in this browser; Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals disable collection. You can change your choice using Analytics preferences at the bottom of the page.
The hosting provider may process technical request information such as IP address, browser information, requested URL and request time to deliver pages, secure the service and operate infrastructure. This website is configured for Netlify hosting; its actual hosting configuration and provider policies determine infrastructure-level processing.
Optional audience measurement
If you allow analytics, Google receives a page-view event for the page you open, together with technical browser and device information and the network address used to deliver the request. Google Analytics may set first-party cookies to distinguish visits. Our code omits URL query strings, fragments, contact-form fields and on-site search terms from page-view events, and disables advertising signals and ad personalization. We do not intentionally send patient information. Google may process information under its own terms; see Google’s privacy policy. The stream must be configured without enhanced measurement, Google Signals or advertising links before release; those account settings cannot be established by this page. Revoke consent through Analytics preferences; this stops subsequent collection in this browser and removes accessible GA cookies, but does not retroactively erase events already received by Google. Analytics retention is controlled in the Google Analytics property; no specific retention period is claimed here.
Fonts and external links
Our stylesheet loads fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser may contact Google to request those files, exposing technical request information such as your IP address and browser information. See Google Fonts privacy information. External links can also expose standard request information to their destinations. This site uses a strict-origin-when-cross-origin referrer policy.
Weekly newsletter
Newsletter signup is optional and separate from contact inquiries. When signup is enabled, we send your email address, consent timestamp, consent-text version and signup source to Resend to manage the Modern Dosing weekly list. You must actively tick the consent box. This is single opt-in: there is no email-confirmation step. No patient information is requested. The exact consent text is: “I agree to receive the Modern Dosing weekly newsletter by email. I can unsubscribe at any time.”
Every newsletter must include an unsubscribe link managed by Resend. Unsubscribing stops subsequent marketing broadcasts; we retain the opt-out status so it is not silently reversed by another form submission. Resend processes contact and delivery information under its privacy policy. Contact us for access, correction or deletion requests. We keep list information while you subscribe or as needed to honor an opt-out; no fixed retention period is claimed. Newsletter open and click tracking should remain off unless separately disclosed and approved.
We use local browser storage to suppress the signup invitation for 30 days after dismissal and after a successful request. These flags contain no email address. Clearing browser storage removes those preferences. Hosting and form abuse prevention may process technical request information; rate limits and a hidden spam-trap field protect the signup endpoint.
When you contact us
The contact form asks for your name, email address, topic and message. If submitted through an enabled Netlify-hosted form, those fields are processed by Netlify and made available to the site operator to handle the inquiry, investigate corrections and respond. You are not subscribed to marketing by submitting the form. Do not include patient records, diagnoses, treatment details, financial details, passwords or other sensitive information.
Form collection depends on Netlify Forms being enabled for the deployment. A local copy or an unconfigured host cannot deliver a message. Do not assume that a message was received if submission fails.
Uses and disclosures
Contact information is used to handle the inquiry and associated site administration, not to sell contact details or create advertising audiences. Hosting and form-service providers process information needed to operate these functions. Information may also be disclosed where required by applicable law or necessary to address abuse, security or legal claims.
Retention and security
Contact submissions may remain in the hosting account until deleted. This edition does not implement an automatic deletion schedule. Keep messages limited to what is necessary. We use HTTPS on a properly configured hosted deployment, but no transmission or storage system can be guaranteed secure.
Your requests
Use Contact us and choose Privacy request to ask about access, correction or deletion of information you submitted. Applicable rights and exceptions depend on your location and the information involved. We may need enough information to verify the request without collecting unnecessary sensitive data.
Children and changes
This site is intended for an adult professional audience, not children under 13. Do not submit information about a child. We may update this policy when the site changes; the date above identifies this version.
